About SHSI

A center of excellence for health equity in Uganda.

Sustainable Health Security Initiative (SHSI) is a Ugandan nonprofit and research organisation working with under-served communities to advance health, dignity and long-term resilience.

We combine rigorous research, indigenous knowledge and climate-health adaptation to design solutions that are led by the people they are meant to serve — from adolescent SRHR to sickle cell awareness and community disease surveillance.

Empowering Health, Ensuring Harmony.

Vision
